CITY OF SIOUX | For the first time in 35 years, the iconic Hard Rock brand is united under a single entity.
As a result, more public exposure and opportunities are being considered for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City.
Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, announced Friday that it has completed the acquisition of the rights to casinos and casino hotels west of the Mississippi River from BREF HR, LLC, a subsidiary of the property management company Brookfield Asset Management.
As part of the contract, Hard Rock International assumed the agreements between BREF HR and its existing licensees, including Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City.
Hard Rock Sioux City will continue to be owned and managed by SCE Partners, a subsidiary of Warner Gaming LLC, based in Las Vegas.

With operations in 71 countries, Hard Rock International has a portfolio of 23 hotels and 11 casinos, in addition to more than 160 Hard Rock Cafés.
Affiliation with Hard Rock International will open the door to Hard Rock Sioux City to add a Hard Rock Café. The Third Street and Water Street Resort features a 30,000 square foot casino, 60-room Hard Rock hotel, live entertainment, and multiple dining options.
The transaction will also give the Sioux City property access to Hard Rock International’s inventory of more than 81,000 pieces of musical memorabilia, the largest and most iconic collection in the world.
“This closer relationship opens up many new opportunities for us, from accessing a stronger collection of memorabilia to connecting with our new sister properties in countries around the world,” Todd Moyer, Managing Director of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City said in a statement Friday. “And if any of our guests would like to visit one of our more than 200 sister properties around the world, we’ll do the introduction.”
In addition to Sioux City, Hard Rock International assumes licensing agreements with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe, Nevada; Hard Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, Okla.; and Hard Rock Casino in Vancouver.
The subsidiaries of BREF HR, LLC will continue to own and operate the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, according to the press release from Hard Rock International.
